"Invisible Barriers"
Invisible barriers are obstacles that are not always visible but can have a strong impact on people’s lives, opportunities, and growth. Unlike physical barriers, they exist in the form of beliefs, attitudes, stereotypes, discrimination, social expectations, and unequal access to opportunities. These barriers can affect individuals, workplaces, communities, and society as a whole.
About the Event
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. TEDxISME Bangalore is one such independently organized event, produced under a free license granted by TED — with content, speakers and staging shaped entirely by our own team, not TED itself.
ISME Bangalore has hosted conversations on business, design and society for over a decade. TEDxISME extends that tradition onto a global format — pairing our campus community with voices from science, art, policy and enterprise who rarely share a stage. This edition's theme, "Invisible Barriers," asks five speakers to challenge one assumption each of us is carrying into the next decade.
